Die Angriffe haben bereits über 100 Opfer gefordert und mehr als 100 Entführungen von israelischen Bürgern verursacht.
In einem Dorf wurden 50 Israelis als Geiseln genommen, was dazu führte, dass Menschen über 8-9 Stunden in Schutzbunkern festsaßen.
An einigen Orten brannten die Terroristen Dörfer nieder, und die Menschen wussten nicht, ob sie den Bunker verlassen und sich ergeben oder bleiben und beten sollten, dass das Feuer sie nicht erreicht.
Viele junge Leute, die an einer großen Open-Air-Party in der Nähe der Dörfer am Gaza-Rand teilnahmen, wurden dort angegriffen. Einige rannten davon, einige wurden verletzt, und einige werden noch vermisst.
